As the Owner and Buyer of Wild Women Wear Red, a successful brick and mortar shoe boutique located in Washington, D.C., I garnered experience in Fashion Merchandising and Entrepreneurship. Since 2008, I have worked as a Retail Manager and Visual Merchandiser for multi national conglomerates within the retail sector.
I love teaching the next generation about the business of fashion. We do our young people a disservice when we send them out into the world ill equipped with the knowledge they need to thrive in a highly competitive and arbitrary industry.
To date, I have taught at the following higher learning institutions:
1) Howard University, Washington DC USA
2) University of the District of Columbia, Washington DC USA
3) Makerere University, Kampala Uganda
I have conducted styling presentations for the following organizations:
1) Deva Curl
2) GRG - Golden Rule Group
If you are the administrator or professor at an institution with a fashion design, entrepreneurship or fashion merchandising program, I welcome the opportunity to impart what I've learned along the way. In the past, students have responded favorably and reached out to me personally in gratitude.
This is an offering that I provide free of charge. I am passionate about the next generation and this is my way of giving back. If participating in your program requires travel, I kindly request that my travel expenses and lodging is covered.
